51. Explain the process your organization would utilize to assist us in selecting insurance vendors. Describe how your firm’s experience and expertise would benefit us in this process. Specifically, what can you offer us that makes your firm the best choice and the clear vendor we should partner with to advise on our plans?

A key strength at Innovo is our independence that ensures we are motivated entirely by our clients’ interests. We have never and will never use limited panels – allowing us to select from all carriers that may offer you the most competitive plan options. Further, we donate most of our bonuses paid by carriers to local and international charities. This means we are not motivated by what a carrier can do for us, only what they can do for Orbis. Also, we do not accept any carrier renewal at face value – even if it is a 0% increase. We will always analyze the renewal against industry data and your employee usage data to see if the carrier is offering a fair rate. If not, we employ strong negotiating tactics and market your business to other carriers.

Lastly, our association with NFP allows us to have outsized influence with carriers. This means your group has access to the same discounts as much larger companies.

52. Will you provide monthly reports on claims and premiums?

Yes, we do this with every client that has claims data available, which is usually at 100+ enrolled employees.

53. Will you review contracts and summaries of coverage with providers for accuracy in rates, benefits and eligibility and coverage definitions?

Yes, this is a standard part of our brokerage services. Like we say, we are here to streamline the benefits process and help clients get more without paying more or having to expend more effort.

54. Describe your firm’s involvement in the annual renewal process. Include information regarding process timeframes, negotiation of rates, and vendor selection.

If selected as your broker, we would create a timeline that adheres to your needs and schedules, and also proactively prepares you for the next renewal. Below we’ve shared a timeline example for a recent new client. Given the specifics of their situation, that timeline is much tighter than what it would be for you. We might add a bit more time if you are interested in leveraging some of our tech like Jellyvision or Airbo.

55. Does your firm own or participate with any stop loss coalition, and if so, what advantages does this provide to your clients?

Yes, we participate in the NFP stop loss center of excellence. This allows us access to better contract provisions on our clients’ behalf. We use that as one set of options, as well as looking outside to ensure you receive the fullest options. However, remember that New York state law restricts the purchase of stop loss insurance for groups under 100.

56. Does your firm own or participate with any pharmacy benefit manager (PBM) and/or pharmacy coalition, and if so, what advantages does this provide to your clients?

Innovo, through NFP, provides access to best-in-class coalition-based Rx pricing with hundreds of thousands of lives, plus contracting with several major pharmacy benefits management companies. We can also offer NFP Rx Solutions. With NFP Rx Solutions and Express Scripts, you receive access to technology, clinical oversight and innovative strategies to assist you in controlling prescription drug costs.

57. Describe how you propose to transition our account to your organization, should your organization be selected.
